Accessibility Statement, Privacy Policy and Website Terms and Conditions

One Nine Design strives to ensure its services are accessible to people with disabilities. Our business has invested a significant amount of resources in helping ensure that its website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.

The One Nine Design website has been designed and tested to be in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (United States), and EN 301 549 (European Union).

Accessibility Features Summary

  • Structural and navigational aids such as headings, landmarks, and "skip navigation" links have been incorporated into the design.

  • All images and other non-text elements have alternative text associated with them.

  • All features are functional with various input methods, including mouse, keyboard, touch, and voice.

  • Videos have captions and transcripts.

  • The foreground/background color contrast of text and user interface elements complies with WCAG guidance for low-vision users.

  • Form elements have proper labels.

  • Data tables have header cells associated with their respective data cells.

  • Where appropriate, interactive components follow WCAG guidance and ARIA Authoring Practices.

One Nine Design continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may result from not finding or identifying the most appropriate technological solution, or the website platform itself.

Known issues for Squarespace Accessibility

Our website was design and is hosted using Squarespace, which has some known accessibility issues that do not fully meet WCAG criteria. These issues are part of the Squarespace code, and are not editable by users. Squarespace is aware of these issues, and we hope that they will be resolved in an upcoming release.

  • Links do not have a discernible name: this is found on certain images with links for not having the appropriate text descriptions for screen readers. We have confirmed that the image elements in question have proper alternative text ("alt text"), which meets WCAG criteria. This appears to be an issue with how Squarespace structures such image links.

Please let us know if you encounter an accessibility issue so we can address it as soon as possible!
